Day 463
Started a learning German program, went on the erg, knit, and did actual stretching.
Also decided that it is too cold to take out the recycling... And the tree.
But that means I get to keep the tree for a while longer. Which makes me happy. I somehow wasn't thinking that getting a real tree would mean having to say goodbye to said tree.

Day 462
Shovelling snow makes me feel remarkably accomplished. I hope I remember that tomorrow when my muscles are angrier than usual.

Day 461
The weather (and more specifically the driving conditions) was so terrible today all plans to leave the house were cancelled. We've been revelling in the glory of an unscheduled free day - which we mostly spent playing video games. And a bit of reading.
Why bother shovelling yourself out on Saturday when Sunday is just around the corner? It's only going to be -30...
Day 460
Errands go much faster when you are trolling your Husband the whole time. And the sooner you finish errands, the sooner you can eat tacos and play Lego batman!

Day 459
Trying to reset brains and stomachs. A quiet day of relaxing and a dinner composed of basically all veggies and no salt.
Also watched Goldeneye. It has not aged well.

Day 458
Came home from our eleventy jillionth day of celebrating Christmas, and just around our tree for a while. Peace at last!
Tuesday, December 24, 2013
Day 457
This is our first Christmas in our new house and our second Christmas as a married couple. Now if I can just get in several days of sleeping, I think I will be ready for it.

Day 455
I love coming home from vacation and getting to sleep in my own bed. Not so excited to go to work bright and early tomorrow morning.

Day 453
I love cooking and baking with Husband. He's always up for making whatever crazy things I come up with. My sister and I decided we wanted to try goat... So a few days ago I spent some time finding recipes online, read through them with Husband... And then tonight we whipped up a curried goat stew without looking at any of them. And then we made St Lucia rolls. Because what else are you going to do on a Friday night?

Day 450
Christmas shopping, the hunt for the dark chocolate orange, decorating a poor anemic looking tree with very silly decorations, cooking a goose, cooking stuffing, eating entirely too much, laughing with tiny, bright, and hilarious children, and finishing a scarf. Sooo... New Years is next, right?

Day 448
I have super hilarious nieces and nephew. And you throw one nerf gun into the mix and magic happens.
Sunday, December 15, 2013
Day 447
Made a couch fort. If you're looking for me sometime over the next few days, I will be in my couch fort.
Saturday, December 14, 2013
Day 446
Flying on Friday the 13th meant fairly empty flight ridiculously delayed by a pile of small things. So very tired.
Thursday, December 12, 2013
Day 445
Got a good belly workout while babysitting because I was laughing so hard. Who knew Husband's face is a basketboard?
Wednesday, December 11, 2013
Day 444
Today was one of those strange days where there is a lot of super awesome... And then a dash of frustration and a pile of rage.
I need to get better at taking deep breaths and letting things go sooner.
In other news, totally failing at remembering what was in our fridge and pantry actually worked out today. We ended up throwing a bunch of random things together that we wouldn't have ordinarily... And it was quite tasty. So go Team Suck.

Day 443
Finally decorated the tree (without any nun assistance), and did our last online order for Christmas shopping. I'm beginning to feel almost organized.
I've even started a list of the things I want to bake!
Monday, December 9, 2013
Day 442
It is that time of year... When a foodie's thoughts turn to baked goods and large fowl.
I think I've spent more time looking at cookbooks than I did on my wish list...
Sunday, December 8, 2013
Day 441
Apparently I have decided that instead of taking classes, I should just knit full time instead.
Nothing like a nun decorated Christmas tree in the house to make you feel unaccomplished.
Day 440
Our tree arrived today, and our house now reeks of Christmas.
Also, I showed Husband how to make a custom vibration tone for his phone, so now he is learning morse code. Because Science.

Day 439
Two Things about Husband's office Cheistmas party:
1. Did not cause any riots during the gift exchange this year. Kinda missed the riots.
2. I think I would pretty happily love off cheese balls if it weren't for the farts .

Day 437
When your hermit-ey neighbour comments that you don't seem to get out much, that might be when you should realize that they are not the hermit-ey neighbour.
Tuesday, December 3, 2013
Day 436
I finally caved and said we could get new phones (our contract only expired two months ago...).
I just acted like I was about to take Husband 's picture, and instead turned the flashlight on in his face.
I think I like my new phone.
Monday, December 2, 2013
Day 435
Today Husband and I bought our first Christmas tree. Then we came home, looked at the living room and went "Hmm... I guess we're moving some furniture."
Sunday, December 1, 2013
Day 434
Re-wrote the little drummer boy to be less obnoxious. It involves poking Husband with my thumbs... To the chorus of "thumb thumb thumb thumb thumb".
Still less obnoxious.
Day 433
In our apartment, there was really only one good place to sit and hang out. Which means that if Husband or I were sitting and reading, or gaming, or watching tv, we were in the same room.
In our house, however, there are lots of good places for sitting around. Now it is possible to both be home all day and not really see each other. It is weird times.
